Past And Present – Original Painting
Description
'A celebration of the new generation of album buyers. Nowadays, we talk about a renaissance in album sales and how people are flooding back to the good old days of vinyl. It’s artists like Taylor Swift and Adele who have inspired this growth and the rebirth in vinyl because their fans are buying their albums in droves.
'I wanted to celebrate and acknowledge that this new generation are getting into vinyl and how Taylor Swift is a gateway for it . This young girl has Taylor Swift’s ‘Evermore’ album and she’s listening to it on her headphones and an old record player. I wanted to use the record player as a link from the past to the present.
'The two other albums featured are Joni Mitchell’s ‘Blue’ and Beth Orton’s ‘Roundabout’. I wanted to put those in because they inspired Taylor Swift in her solo career.'
