The Engagement - Original Painting
Description
Yes, he could have waited to find a more romantic venue. A place
of grand gesture, maybe at the top of a tor or under cherry blossom
in a Parisian park. But it takes two buses to get to the Peaks and the
furthest Frank had ever been was Cleethorpes.
Anyhow, what could be more romantic than proposing in the
place where you first met? Joy loved the gesture and the ring that was
once his mum’s. He’ll need to get it altered and maybe get the dent
smoothed out, but nothing’s perfect around here: we all know how to
make do. The trick is to see the good in things, no matter how small.
