Created for Frank and Joy: a Love Story Exhibition 2023

'They nurtured her passion to learn with trips to the library and the local gallery – they even took her ballet dancing for a couple of weeks until she decided she wanted to try judo. They dried her tears when a park swing broke the skin on her knee and when, in her teens, love broke her heart. Now here they are, by her side, celebrating their pride-and-joy’s happiness and hard work. One day she will return to teach the kids around here how they – like her – can be weeds in the street, breaking through their hard surroundings to grow tall.'
