My Favourite 7" Singles
My Favourite 7" Singles is based on Pete's first-ever record box. One of his most treasured possessions, this image reflects youth and the passion and excitement felt when first discovering music. To the left of the box is a pencil, recently used to write songs on a mixtape cassette. “Gino” has been written on the side of the record box, a small joke that references youthful naivety. “Gino” actually refers to the song Geno by Dexys Midnight Runners. The artist chose to spell the title of the song incorrectly as “when I was a kid, I would always spell at least one of the bands incorrectly on my record box, in my haste to scrawl a tribute to them.”
