'Fashion-starved girls of Sheffield and Rotherham would flock every Saturday to Chelsea Girl on Fargate to try on the latest in tight jeans, spangly tops, and short skirts in the large communal changing room. I wisely stayed outside the shop while my big sis got her Saturday night togs.'
