Created for the Exhibition: A Boy with a Leg Named Brian: Memoirs by Pete McKee
'The dark, cold Saturday winter evenings of the ’70s could be warmed by the purchase of the local post-match sports paper, The Green Un. But only if your team had won. On special occasions there would be what was known as a “Green Un day”: a particular set of circumstances that conspire to make the perfect weekend, i.e. your team wins and the other lot loses.'
