Pete McKee returns to the Royal Albert Hall for Teenage Cancer Trust
After the huge success of his 2017 screen-prints for the Teenage Cancer Trust live shows, Pete McKee is back for his 4th year running. He has produced six limited edition screen-prints for Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall events in 2018, and is hopeful that they will take his fundraising for the charity over the £100,000 mark.
To commemorate this year’s shows, Pete has created a series of screen-prints for the performing artists; Kasabian, Roger Daltrey, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, UB40 featuring Ali, Astro and Mickey, The Courteeners and local Sheffield heroes Def Leppard.
There are 50 copies of each print and only 15 copies for The UB40 print. All prints are signed by the artists and Pete. They will be sold with all proceeds going to Teenage Cancer Trust.
The prints will be priced at £170 unframed and will be available the morning after each band has performed (please see below for sale dates and times). The prints will be sold exclusively through www.petemckee.com ONLY on a first come, first serve basis*. Prints will be limited to one per customer and measure A2 in size.
*Please note we cannot take any pre-orders for the prints.
Here is what Pete said about the project:
"I love working on these posters. The organisation does incredible work, and having the opportunity to help raise funds for charity is a great honour. Each year I try to make my theme about differences and imperfections. I myself carry the scars of a life saving operation and as anyone who faces a battle with an illness realises, they have something that defines them from the rest of their world, which has to be faced with positivity and love. The theme I've chosen this year is 'love the rust' a collection of rusting vehicles that are loved by their owners despite their imperfections. I've tried to pair up vehicles with the personality of the bands featured and their fans."
Each print will be priced at £170 and available the morning after each band has performed exclusively from www.petemckee.com, sold on a first come first served basis. Prints will be limited to one per customer. The prints are available from the Pete McKee website only and not in person, they are A2 in size.
If you are visiting any of the Royal Albert Hall shows you will also be able to purchase a special 12” version of the prints. These are unsigned and priced at £35 each.
