Happy New Year to all of our customers and McKee fans everywhere. 2014 was an exciting year for us here at the gallery and for Pete himself; we launched our new website, some great products, hired two new members of staff, and organised the hugely popular Pub Scrawl in Sheffield. We sent orders to Australia, America and Hong Kong and reached thousands of people through our Facebook and Twitter pages. Perhaps most importantly of all, 2014 was the year of Thud, Crackle, Pop.
From the hugely successful show in London to the gallery here in Sheffield via Manchester and Harrogate, Pete McKee brought his pop-up record shop to thousands of art and music lovers with a new collection of paintings and an interactive, immersive gallery space. Visitors browsed throughk the racks to find their perfect print, listened to a 7” playlist curated by Pete, and learned the history of the mysterious Ministry of Audio Pleasure. Prints and posters from Thud, Crackle, Pop can be found here.
2015 looks to be another great year for a Month of Sundays and for Pete. We have some very exciting projects in the pipeline and some wonderful products to launch in the coming months. We hope that you’ll join us for another year of McKee.
