*Please don't send us your actual records!
To celebrate 'Thud, Crackle, Pop', our upcoming online exhibition celebrating vinyl, due to be released on the 25th of February, we are making a virtual record store and need your help filling it!
All you need to do is create your own version of your favourite album cover (or you could design one for an imaginary band) using any material method you like. Your creation will then be featured in our online exhibition!
You could use paints, pencils, pastels or collage. Create something really detailed or just use stick men! You could even make your album cover by creating something 3D by sculpting or building something. You could use food, found objects or things from the garden. You could recreate an album cover using yourself, your family, even your pets, as long as they are willing!
The most important thing is that you have fun getting creative. By sending us your work you will also automatically be entering a competition for which Pete will be picking the top three winners for first, second and third place. He is looking for album covers that make him smile, so don't worry if you're not a fine artist!
All you need to do to enter is:
1 - Create your album cover
2 - Send in your album cover and its title to firstname.lastname@example.org by Sunday the 21st of February
3 - Your work will automatically be featured in our online exhibition and you will be entering in our competition.
Good luck! We can't wait to see what you create!
