We are sad to announce that the physical Eight New Paintings exhibition, which had already sold out and was due to run from the 9th-13th of December at Sheffield's Millennium Gallery, has been cancelled due to local lockdown restrictions. We unfortunately won't be rescheduling this show, however there is still a way of viewing it virtually, with information on this below.
The show must go on!
Although the physical show can't go on, it will be available to view online. On the 9th of December the Eight New Paintings website will be updated and converted into a virtual exhibition space which will be displayed into the new year. This is an amazing opportunity to view and read about all of the paintings as well as to check out our exhibition shop, which will also be updated on the 9th of December, so prints of the exhibited paintings will be available to purchase. A new video will also be uploaded which includes an interview with Pete and a chance to see the exhibition in situ.
Available now are our official Eight New Paintings exhibition posters available to buy with 50% of the profits going to Museums Sheffield, the charity responsible for three of Sheffield city’s important cultural venues: Graves Gallery, Weston Park Museum and the Millennium Gallery. These funds will help allow these vitally important cultural sites to remain open, continuing to provide the public the opportunity to visit Sheffield’s collection of art, human history and natural science. If you are able to donate, no matter how small a sum, then just click here.
